After BlackBerry’s bad luck in the Middle East, it’s now India’s turn to decide on the smartphone’s future there. When it came to Saudi Arabia and UAE’s situation, BlackBerry didn’t bulge to their demands on releasing or at least providing the necessary information to these Middle East countries.

For India, when the nation decided to deny access to BlackBerry services there, the smartphones manufacturer decided to step in and negotiate with India regarding these issues. Apparently, India has voiced their concerns over BlackBerry’s phone services. The country wants permission or at least, access to the BlackBerry Enterprise email and the BlackBerry Messenger service.

India is set to announce their decision on August 30, this according to a source close to BlackBerry. BlackBerry is sincerely hoping for a positive response from India, as the brand certainly doesn’t want to lose the big market in India. Meetings on this security concern will be held by Indian authorities on Thursday and Friday. Let’s hope BlackBerry is in luck this time.

This is something that we all know; a phone doesn’t have to be bought directly from the provider. The same goes for Blackberry’s new Torch smartphone that has been selling like hot cakes on Amazon.com. While the wireless carrier AT&T is selling the Blackberry Torch for $200, buyers can find the phone at a lesser deal for about $100 on Amazon.com.

The difference isn’t too big here but, for those counting then it’s a lot. Moreover, buying on Amazon.com will send the phone right to your home or where you want it to be sent. This is not a surprise as buyers can find other exciting phone deals on Amazon.com but the phone’s manufacturer RIM warns that the difference isn’t much here. Nevertheless, there have been those who prefer to ‘officially’ purchase the phone directly from the wireless provider.

The Blackberry Torch smartphone was released last week and recently made headlines when its manufacturer, RIM, revealed that the phone was cheaper to build than Apple’s iPhone 4. The approximate cost of manufacturing the Blackberry Torch is $183.05.

RIM & AT&T finally introduced the BlackBerry Torch 9800, slated to be the best BlackBerry device ever. Since the rumors were out, everyone was waiting to hear and see the real thing. So finally AT&T Mobility CEO showed off the new BlackBerry device. Ralph de la Vega was quoted saying that this phone is the best BlackBerry smartphone ever and that he’s proud that AT&T is releasing this phone.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first BlackBerry smartphone to have a physical keyboard as in a sliding-keyboard that slides out just below the screen. It comes with a 3.2-inch touch screen. It is also the first BlackBerry smartphone to run on the new BlackBerry 6 OS.

The new BlackBerry smartphone also comes with a 5-megpaixel camera. ATA&T provides the phone with 3G networking and foreign networks. Other features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be available for $199.99 with a new two-year contract on August 12.

RIM & AT&T is all set to host a special BlackBerry event this week that might see the official announcement of the rumored Bold 9800 Slider & OS 6.0. Exactly tomorrow, the RIM and AT&T BlackBerry event will be held and since the announcement of the event, online tech experts are jumping into conclusion on what would be revealed at the event.

Guess, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to know what’s going on with the RIM and AT&T people. As usual, when any event is bound to happen, the geek circus is right behind waiting on its every move.

Further reports suggest that RIM will be making an official announcement of the BlackBerry 9800 which bears similar looks to the iPhone. Though over the years, BlackBerry’s status in the market has dropped due to heavy competition from Apple, Nokia & HTC. Their fans have still remained loyal to the brand’s goods and believe it will once again be among the top.

Good news for BlackBerry fans as new leaked picture shows the new BlackBerry 9780 running OS 6. If this is the case, the new phone will be along the lines of 9800 slider, the 9670 clamshell, and the Storm 3. The new BlackBerry 9780 is touted to represent the next generation of RIM’s operating system. The new BlackBerry 9780 also comes in a traditional form factor.

Since this is a leaked photo of the new BlackBerry phone, details concerning the phone are scarce at the moment. But rumors doing the rounds are that the phone might come with a 512 MB of memory and the phone bears similar look to the 9700a. If it’s just not about the looks but the phones as well have similar features then it will be safe to say that the BlackBerry 9780 comes with a 5-megapixel camera, not the usual feature for a BlackBerry phone.

What a great day today! Another day, another leak is revealed and this time, it’s Blackberry’s tablet. The yet-to-be-announced Blackberry tablet has had a few of its features and specs leaked. We’re not sure whether this is a leak and those who have released the leak claimed to have had an analyst at Rodman & Renshaw predict what the RIM device will have.

It is said that the new Blackberry upcoming tablet will feature a 7-inch touch screen. It will work on a 1GHz processor. There will also be two cameras; one in front while the second one is at the back of the phone. Naturally, the camera can be used for video chatting.

As far as experts are concerned and how true these leaks are, many are claiming that leak can entirely be misleading as far as the specs details are concerned. We should just wait for a more reliable leak or the official word from RIM and Blackberry.

Good news for folks over on the other side of the globe. Vodafone is set to release the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 and the Nokia C3. The BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9105 is designed with a pocket form factor and it is the alphanumeric variant of RIM’s latest product which also comes with similar features like the 9700 model. Some of the features include a 5.0 Operating System, a 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, and HVGA display.

As for the Nokia C3 which is a little low-end than the Pearl 3G 9105, has an Operating System that runs on the Symbian technology which is Series 40 Symbian, along with a 2 megapixel camera, equipped with Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 2.1 capability. The C3 does not support 3G or GPS function.

With the announcement recently at WES by the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Pearl 3G 9105 and also Nokia C3 a few weeks before that, both of the products will be available on the Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) UK this June.

We are hearing that T Mobile will release two new mobile phones, the White BlackBerry Bold 9700 and Samsung T959. RIM Research’s White BlackBerry Bold 9700 is being released in white as compared to the black version that you can find at other mobile carriers. The features are the same except for the phone’s color and probably the price. We were mentioning yesterday how Blackberry is eager to boost their status in the market and hopefully if this phone is a success among consumers then RIM can rest assured.

The Samsung T959 is a phone that works on Android and it is a bit similar to Samsung’s other model, the Galaxy S. This phone comes with a 4-inch AMOLED screen with full touch capabilities. As this phone works on the Android platform, there will be Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 user interface and also Wi-Fi connectivity options. Both of these devices will be released by T Mobile on May 5th. No price was given for now.

What seems to be the next BlackBerry phone has been spotted, a few pictures have been leaked of this slider smartphone and we can’t help notice the similarities between BlackBerry’s Storm and Bold smarphones. Rumor has it that the supposedly up-and-coming phone will be from Research in Motion which is a Canadian Mobile Agent.

Further rumors suggest that the device from BlackBerry will run BlackBerry OS 6.0. It will feature Wi-Fi 802.11n. It is said to feature a display resolution of 360×480 and further reports suggest that it will be a GSM/HSPA device. From the picture, we can spot a sliding vertical keyboard which is identical to the Palm Pre.

There are still further speculations on the net as to what really is this device, some claim that it could be the new Storm 3 while others differ the thought by saying that the RIM would use its virtual keyboard-only moniker for this. All these details seem crazy and we had rather wait for an official statement from BlackBerry than jump up and down right now!

Amazon has launched the Kindle application for Blackberry phones. Blackberry users will now be able to read Kindle ebooks on their phone. This move by Amazon is intended for Blackberry owners in the US and this application will allow them to directly download their chosen books to their Blackberry phones.

Apparently, Amazon had to launch this Kindle application because the online retailer company felt slightly threaten by Apple’s much-awaited iPad. As we all know, the Apple iPad tablet will have some kind of book store featured on the phone from selected publishers.
The Kindle application will be for Blackberry models including the Bold 9700 and Storm 2. Amazon promised that soon enough the Kindle application will be available for other countries as well. For now, those who will receive this application will have access to more than 400,000 digital books and it also allows users to read a sample first before downloading the whole thing to their phone. Each download will cost $9.99.
