Seems like all the top officers of the leading mobile phone manufactures have been resigning. The latest to take this step is the CEO of LG Electronics. LG Electronics Chief Executive Officer Nam Yong has decided to take the blame for LG’s poor sales in smartphones and market share by resigning.

Whenever or not, this is a good decision on his part is yet to be seen, but putting their posts down are what top executives have been doing for the last two weeks. Meanwhile, LG has already picked another candidate who will replace Nam Yong. Koo Bon-Joon is all set to act and be the new CEO of LG Electronics.

According to reports, Nam Yong was under pressure to resign as LG Electronics’ sales dropped 0.7 percent compared to the sales acquired last year in 2009. Its profit has also dropped and recently, LG was one of the least sold smartphones for Q2 2010.

Great news for all those who have been eagerly waiting for these three mobiles; T-Mobile has announced that it will be releasing them soon. These three phones are all being awaited by consumers. As stated above, these phones are the HTC Desire HD, Nokia C7 and LG Optimus.

T-Mobile will be releasing the HTC Desire HD, Nokia C7 and LG Optimus soon individually. Let’s get started on the models. These phones have been mentioned for a while now. First up is HTC’s Desire HD, which is the HTC Desire’s high-definition upgrade. T-Mobile is set to release this phone in October on a contract-based plan.

Next up is the Nokia C7 and LG Optimus One, which both T-Mobile stated will be released soon with no dates given. The LG Optimus One will be released with a car cradle and in-car charger bundled free. The latter will be released in October while the Nokia C7 will be released in November.

Good news for all those over in Canada looking for a new mobile phone; LG’s Rumour Plus is set to be launched by Bell soon. Apparently, this phone was supposed to be launched together with LG’s Rumour 2 back then in August. But, that didn’t materialize due to some manufacturing delays of the Rumour Plus.

The LG Rumour Plus has finally been released in Canada by Bell. Bell has stated prices would be $79.95 on a 2-year contract, $39.95 on a 3-year contract, $109.95 on a 1-year contract, and $159.95 without a contract.

Let’s talk more on the LG Rumour Plus. The phone itself is a nice looking LG device. It features a side-sliding full QWERTY keyboard. It comes with a 2.4-inch display screen that features a resolution of 240×320 pixels. There’s also a 2-megapixel camera. Other features include touch dialing, GPS, microSD card slot (cards up to 16 GB supported). The device weights only 119g. Bell already has the LG Rumour Plus on release.

Good news everyone as a new leak has been spotted on a Polish site. LG’s E720 has apparently showed up on a Polish site, and started an online debate on the phone. The phone comes with a 3.2 inch display and sports on Qualcomm’s MSM7227 core. It is a Froyo-equipped device.

The phone features a 5-megapixel camera on the back that can be used to take shots and hopefully it can also be used to shoot high quality videos. The phone might just be announced soon before the end of this year. Rumors have it that LG will definitely announce it soon as the release of Android 3.0 is just around the corner.

The LG E720 was first shown on the Android.com.pl site with a couple of pictures, plus a video. The phone definitely has the stylish look of the LG phones. Other features include a built-in GPS receiver and Wi-Fi connectivity. LG might just be readying this device for T-Mobile, but only time will tell. Stay tuned.

Bad news for LG, in a recent eco rating system for mobile phones LG’s Etna received a rating of 2.5/5. This does not look good for LG, as the brand has always spoken about ‘being green’ when it comes to manufacturing its products. A number of different mobile phones were analyzed to determine their eco-friendly ratings, also known as the O2 mobile phone rating scheme. LG unfortunately scored the lowest points when six of its mobile phones were analyzed. The other mobiles that scored low in this ranking are the Palm Pre Plus, Samsung C3050, and Sony Ericsson Satio.

On the top of the list and a proud eco-friendly mobile phone is Sony Ericsson’s Elm. Other mobile phones from Nokia and Samsung also scored high points, but not as high as the Sony Ericsson Elm which ranks in at 4.3/5. The O2 mobile phone rating scheme has been created so that consumers are aware of the most environmentally friendly handsets.

LG is set to release their new phone, the Aloha C710 soon. The brand states that the Aloha C710 will be the first phone from LG that will be equipped with Android 2.1 and it is at the same time, the first LG phone to come standard with this edition of the Google platform. LG has been very quietly lately. Things haven’t been so great for the brand that made the list of lowest number of smartphones sold. LG is hoping to make it to the top five this time with the help of better designed phones and loyal consumers.

Let’s talk more on the phone itself. The LG C710 will be released as the GSM version for the western market. For the western market, it will be released with Android 2.1 which will still be the first LG phone with this edition of the Google platform. The LG C710 has the looks of a nice and simple phone. Good news for those waiting for this phone, it is reported that AT&T might just get their hands on this phone to make it available soon. It was renowned site PhoneScoop who was the first to discover the new LG phone which is an entry-level phone which according to them will be sold by AT&T.

LG decided to cash in all the Twilight limelight and the brand has released the Pop GD510 Twilight Edition but unfortunately, for now the phone is only available in the most romantic country in the world, France.

The LG already sold 1 million units of the LG GD510 as of February this year and they are hoping to make the phone even more successful with this teen-craze edition in France. The phone comes in black with the Twilight logo on the back and on the inside; it features a few Twilight wallpapers. The phone will be available from Orange France and buyers will be able to download the new Twilight movie for free on the phone for this year.

The LG Pop GD510 Twilight Edition is already available in France at the price of €199. On a different note, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be out in cinemas on July 7 in France.
