We all love a good leak here at CC, especially when the leak concerns a favorite, HTC. A not-yet-announced HTC QWERTY slider phone has been spotted at the FCC filing recently. While the phone bears a similar resemblance to HTC’s Touch Pro, at the FCC it was given the name PD42100.

This rumored HTC QWERTY slider phone will be released by Verizon, as claimed by the leak. Though we don’t recall seeing the phone anywhere, the online community claims that this phone does match the description of a hybrid CDMA/EVDO and GSM phone that was mentioned earlier.

This HTC QWERTY slider phone comes with a 4-inch touchscreen, as seen in the leaked shot. It also comes with 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Further claims suggest that the phone will work on a 1.2GHz processor. Rumor has it that the phone will be released early next year. It is also said that the phone might be the fastest phone as of yet, and it will be shipped with Android 3.0. Stay tuned for more updates.

Sony Ericsson has set up a new target for itself: to be the number one Android supplier. Sony Ericsson is already the manufacturer of a large number of Android phones so it would be no wonder to see the brand attain the number one spot in the Android market. Chief Executive Officer Bert Nordberg has recently announced in a press conference that the brand plans on making it well in the Android market.

With the recent of its Xperia X10, Sony Ericsson has announced that it is aiming to be largest Android supplier in the world. Currently, Sony Ericsson holds about 17 percent of the global market share. Motorola is just one spot behind Sony Ericsson. Coincidentally enough, Motorola as well plans to make it on top in the Android’s market by releasing more Android-based devices. HTC is not far behind in the race as well. Sony Ericsson has not yet announced how long it has to reach the top.

Good news for Motorola fans especially those located in China, Motorola has finally announced that it will soon be releasing three new Android smartphones in China soon. The smartphones are notably from the MING series. They are touchscreen smartphones, like most smartphones today. As they will be released in the Chinese market first, these new MING smartphones are able to recognize Chinese characters.

The new Motorola smartphones are the MT810 and A1680, which are already available in some parts of China. These are selling at 5,980 renminbi (US$877) and 3,080 renminbi each. The Motorola MT810 comes with a 3.2-inch screen and is able to showcase mobile TV broadcasts in China’s CMMB format. It will be serviced by China Mobile. This smartphone runs on China Mobile’s OPhone 2.0 operating system (based on Android 2.1 version).

The Motorola A1680 was built for China Unicom. It works on Android version 1.6 and comes with a 3.1-inch display. The last MING model, the XT806, will be released in September by China Telecome. It works on Android version 2.1.

Good news everyone as a new leak has been spotted on a Polish site. LG’s E720 has apparently showed up on a Polish site, and started an online debate on the phone. The phone comes with a 3.2 inch display and sports on Qualcomm’s MSM7227 core. It is a Froyo-equipped device.

The phone features a 5-megapixel camera on the back that can be used to take shots and hopefully it can also be used to shoot high quality videos. The phone might just be announced soon before the end of this year. Rumors have it that LG will definitely announce it soon as the release of Android 3.0 is just around the corner.

The LG E720 was first shown on the Android.com.pl site with a couple of pictures, plus a video. The phone definitely has the stylish look of the LG phones. Other features include a built-in GPS receiver and Wi-Fi connectivity. LG might just be readying this device for T-Mobile, but only time will tell. Stay tuned.

Online experts were quick to point out that the leaked phone bears a similar resemblance to Motorola’s Droid phone. But, leaked shots experts were even quicker to point out that the phone doesn’t have the Droid look, it does have something similar about it.

Like usual every leak comes with the least information of all. From the picture, it can be said that the phone looks nice in its sliding form. Some might say it looks even better than Blackberry’s Torch. It does come with a nice keyboard. As a matter of fact, this phone was first sighted back in July with no information given. Motorola has so far not commented on the device so we’ll have to go based on assumptions only. Hopefully soon, Motorola will breathe out some words about this device.

Kyocera has announced the ZIO smartphone for a while now, and it seems that the brand might just be ready to launch it. Cricket Communications will be in charge of releasing the Sanyo ZIO together with Kyocera. Cricket, which is a wireless services provider will be launching its first smartphone ever, the Sanyo ZIO.

Let’s talk more on the phone. The Sanyo Zio comes with an ultra-intuitive user interface that heavily comes to good use when using apps from the Android market. It features a 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen, and runs on Cricket’s all-3G network. Other features include web browsing at 3G speeds and Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera, and other features such as media player, HTML web browser and Google maps.

Cricket has already made the ZIO available a few days before it was supposed to. Customers can purchase the Sanyo ZIO for $249.99, and if the phone is bought from the provider’s official online site then customers will receive a $20 discount.

Good news for Sony Ericsson as the brand has been announced as the official mobile for the UEFA Champions League. Sony Ericsson has apparently made very good use of Sony Corporation’s long time partnership with UEFA so that the mobile manufacturer can finally get started on a special global marketing programme around the UEFA Champions League until the year 2012.

In conjunction with Sony’s UEFA Champions League Partnership, Sony Ericsson has been announced as the official mobile handset of the UEFA Champions League. The new Sony Ericsson programme will basically be of a fan-focused approach, and will offer an ‘on-device’ experience. It is said that to enhance the fan experience the programme will make use of the GPS capabilitiesof Sony Ericsson’s smartphones. With this programme and the GPS, Sony Ericsson is hoping that this will definitely enhance the fan experience which will make them be even more excited to be a part of this programme.

Questions, questions! That is the problem with leaks: it’s never specific! We do love a good leak though, like usual. Today word has it that the leaked Droid 2 World Edition might actually be the leaked Droid Pro. In other words, these might be the same phones we’re talking about. It’s funny that this question is being brought up now when Verizon itself gave a preview of these devices separately at its inventory system. But then, these phones were shown under the model codes A956 and A957.

A leakshot of Motorola’s upcoming models has been spotted online, which is set to mess our minds up. Apparently, in the leakshot the Droid 2 World Edition is referred as the A957, and it has September 30th listed as its launch date. Until Verizon or Motorola comment on this, it’s hard to analyze on this question. Experts online are going with the idea that the Droid Pro is the dual-mode version of the Droid 2. We’ll see how true that is in September. Meanwhile, stay tuned.

Great news for Motorola fans, we love a good leak here and today specs and pictures of the Motorola Quench XT5 have been leaked. Before we start jumping into the details, this is not the same mobile as the Motorola Cliq XT, Motorola Quench MB501, or the Motorola Quench XT3. This is a new one, of course unannounced that might be released soon. If we are lucky maybe before the end of this year, all depending on Motorola.

The Motorola Quench XT5 now has several details concerning its specs leaked. Let’s get right into it. The phone works on Android 2.1. It supports the network coverage of WCDMA 900/1900/2100, GSM 850/900/1800/1900, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps (Category 7/8), EDGE Class 12. It comes with a nice 3.2-inch 480×320 HVGA 262k display screen. It features FM radio, and supports DivX video playback. Tehre’s a 1270 mAh battery on the phone that is supposed to last for some time. It measures 56 x 114 x 13 mm and weighs 114g.
