Reviews
“The HTC Tattoo brilliantly showcases just what is great about the Android OS. It is one of the first mid-range phones on the market that you will be able to get free on a contract and not have to pay through the nose for the monthly tariff.” (TechRadar, 2009)
“Frankly, we are in two minds about the HTC Tattoo. On the one hand, it´s a likeable, compact Android smartphone running the cool Sense interface. On the other, the concessions the manufacturer has had to make to keep the price low are neither minor, nor just a few. We don’t really have a problem with the screen size itself, the thing is the lower resolution is equivalent to extremely poor catalogue of applications, compatible with the device. This is a bitter pill to swallow and definitely something we are unwilling to put up with. Even more so, now that Android seems to be making evolutionary leaps forward and its development is picking up speed.” (PhoneArena, 2009)
“The HTC Tattoo doesn’t skimp in the software department, providing all of the power of Android, plus the Hero’s social-networking extras. But you’ll miss out on the pleasure of using a big, bright, responsive touchscreen. If you bite your nails, stay away from this phone. For those who don’t, we’d recommend the Tattoo above its bargain competitors, such as the Samsung Tocco Lite.” (CNET, 2009)
