Reviews

“At MWC, the PeopleCentric announcement felt like HTC’s answer to Palm’s Synergy: a more connected way of handling information on a mobile device. If we’re honest, it can’t quite live up to how Palm webOS manages data, but it’s the best performing data management system on a Windows Mobile device we’ve seen. The few consistency flaws we’ve run across – which could well be fixed in production firmware – haven’t undermined how useful it can be to isolate conversations on a contact-by-contact basis, and if you’ve been looking for an excuse to tidy up your address book then this is it.” (SlashGear, 2009)

“So should you buy it ?, if your a Windows Mobile lover and don’t input lots of text this is the crème de la crème of keyboardless Windows phones, if you do input lots of text it may be wiser to wait for the Touch Pro2 which should be here in a few months. Sure it has a few flaws, like the accelerometer only works in a few applications, a better music and video player should have been included and that 3.5mm headset jack, the biggest flaw though is Windows Mobile 6.1, its just not good enough for this top end hardware and this is the kicker, HTC have confirmed that this device will get an update to Windows Mobile 6.5 and because of that, this device should be very appealing.” (MobileTechAddicts, 2009)

“On its own, the Diamond2 is a true winner. It’s refined in every way that a phone should be refined, and it represents the best hardware and software interplay that we have yet to see on a Windows Mobile device. The increased screen sensitivity, focus on finger-friendliness, and many TouchFLO 3D enhancements make the Diamond2 a true joy to use.” (PocketNow, 2009)
