The LG GW520 is a mobile phone that hails from LG’s LG InTOuch plus range. It comes with a 3 mega pixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard and social networking features. The LG GW520 comes in the form of a slide phone that slides side ways to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard.

The LG GW520 measures 106.9 mm x 53 mm x 15.9 mm (L x W x D) in dimension and weighs approximately 125.5 g including its provided standard battery. The LG GW520 is compatible with RF bands including GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900, UMTS 900/ 2100, and HSDPA 7.2. It also has a TFT colour display that can support up to 262k colours. Besides that, it also has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and measures 2.8 inches diagonally. Its standard battery can provide up to 4.5 hours of talk time. Alternatively, it can last up to 500 hours when left on standby mode. Messaging features include email and instant messaging. Additionally, it also has other advanced features including JAVA (version MIDP 2.1), built in FM radio, up to 40 MB of internal memory, support for expansion via external memory in the form of Micro SD memory cards up to 8 GB, MP3, Bluetooth, Touch Screen, Video Recording and Document Viewer. Additionally, the LG GW520 also features threaded messaging that allows you to organize your text messages into ongoing “threads” for a conversation-like effect. Besides that, it also features LiveSquare visual alerts that allow you to view the friends you have most contact with as avatars on your homescreen which tell you when there’s a messaged received from the corresponding friend. Messages can be typed out on the virtual keypad on the 2.8 inch touchscreen, or even using the full QWERTY keyboard. The LG GW520 is also 3G compatible.
